Curated by Mart Trento e Rovereto Contemporary Art Museum / Educational Area

Tipe of activity: workshop
Age: from 4 years old
Period of the activity: from 19 May to 5 June

How many types of apples exist? And how many do you know? The workshop is focused on the apple, a traditional symbol of good food habits. The children are introduced to the different existing varieties of apples and in a small “Apple Museum” they are invited to participate in a workshop where they can associate the “good” of the apple to the “beautiful” of its aesthetic dimension. The simplicity of its shape and its chromatic qualities make it an example of perfect design. The children will re-create the shape of the apple in a stylized way, by playing with its colours and shapes cutting out many pieces of coloured paper to make a card that hides a three-dimensional apple with a pop-up effect!

For almost 30 years the Educational Area of the MART has been in charge of making the Museum a place where art meets education, and not only for schools. Currently, its proposals include more than one hundred projects and involve tens of thousands of users each year.
