Do you know what bento is? Have you ever prepared one?
Bento, the traditional home packed lunch from Japan, is here considered as a tool for intercultural communication: in this workshop, children use their imagination, and their hands, to imagine and create the bentos for all occasions! Bento for a romantic date as Orihime, the traditional and famous Festival of Stars, bento lunch for children in kindergarten, bento with surprise to the famous starred chef Zaiyu Hasegawa… Children learn to know the taste of a Japanese citizen and prepare a unique and very personalbento: after visiting the store Bento box and after having been shopping around a large table create many bento with their hands.!
