Do you know the fairy tales of Hungary?
All over the world, the fairy tale is a natural and fun way to introduce children to “other” cultures and worlds: a large table-shaped installation offering interactive sensory stimuli based on hearing and touch is the narrative framework that actively plunges children into one of the many fairy tales dealing with nourishment, food, and conviviality!
Visitors directly experience situations, tasks and games in the different settings that are typical of fairy tales; and they are guided by the real characters of the stories.
The Fairy Tale Museum of Budapest, founded in 2012 as a branch of the Petőfi Literary Museum, has the mission of drawing people’s attention back to fairy tales, legends, myths and all epic genres, with educational activities aimed at preserving and protecting this cultural heritage for future generations.
